Group 070-06: CN Tower: Week 6

Goal of week 6: Add dimensions to the 3D CAD model, start Visual Analysis, complete a rough draft of the 70% Project Report

Challenges:

The major challenge we faced this week was after we finally got our CAD model to import into Visual Analysis, we had trouble figuring out where to go from there. After watching some tutorials off the IES website, Cody learned how to apply a wind load to a tower. Another challenge we faced this week was restarting the physical model with foam. It took some time to get used to, but after some trial and error Paulina and Renee got the hang of carving the foam.

Outcomes of This Week:

After this week, we now have a finalized CAD rendering complete with dimensions. Because we had to start over on the physical model, we are about as far with it as we were last week. However, we are on a steady track to have the model completed by week 7. After this week, we have also completed a rough draft of our 70% Project report, which will be edited, finalized, and submitted in week 7. We have fallen slightly behind with our Visual Analysis deadline, but that means we will work harder on it next week to stay on schedule.
